Students may be promoted to higher classes after a specific duration. An admin or privileged employees need to follow below-mentioned steps to start a new academic year process in Fedena. This configuration will be a one time task for an entire academic year.
Step 1: Create a new academic year and make it active. You can create a new academic year by following this article.
Step 2: Create new batches for this academic year if required.
Menu > Academics > Batches > Create all batches for the upcoming academic year and link with different batches.
Class 1-A 2020-21 or B 2020-21
MBA Semester 1 (2019-2020)
Step 3: Transfer/Graduate the students. The batch transfer process will vary based on institution type. There can be multiple batch transfer in the same academic year. Please see the below-given example to understand some batch transfer done between two academic years.

To promote the students to next session, select the Course and Batch in the current session and click on search on the Promote student page.
Once the list of the students is populated, select the Promore In session, Course and Batch in which you want to promote the students.Once the above options are selected, select the Current result of all the students and the Next session status.
- Selecting the next session status as Continue will move the student to the next session and new course and batch.
- Select the next session status as Leave will not move the student to next session, course and batch.
Click Save to promote the students successfully.
