Subjects and Subjects Group

Subjects as the name states subjects that are taught within the Course. Note that for individual subjects is what you mark grades, attendance etc.

In Schools or K-12

  • Course: Grade 1
  • Batch: Division 1, Division 2. 
  • Subject: English, Maths, Science, Social Science etc.
  • Course: Grade 2
  • Batch: Division 1, Division 2. 
  • Subject: English, Maths, Science, Social Science etc.

In University or College

  • Course: Dept of Computer Science, 
  • Batch: Semester 1, Semester 2
  • Subjects: Programming, C, Java

In Smaller Academies

  • Course: English 101
  • Batch: Morning Group, Afternoon Group, Evening Group
  • Subjects: English Grammar, Pronunciation, Vocabulary

To add subjects for the respective courses you must either be an Administrator or a privileged employee (Manage Subject privilege must be provided).

To add a Subject, navigate to Academics > Subjects

  1. Add the Subject name.
  2. Select whether the subject is Theoretical or Practical.
  3. Enter the Subject code (if any).
  4. Click Save to add a subject to the platform.

To Edit or Delete a subject, use Edit/Delete button under the Actions column.

Once the subjects are created, we will create the Subject groups. Subject groups help in assigning the same subject to multiple classes.

To add a subject group, navigate to Academics > Subject Groups

  1. Add the Subject group name. (Ex. Class 1, Class 2, Dept of Computer Science, etc.)
  2. Select the course and batch to which you want to assign this group.
  3. Select the subjects you want to assign to this group.
  4. Click Save to add the subject group into the platform.
